Ironvale Works  /  Company

Built by operators.

Ironvale Works is a small federal technology company that behaves like the mission depends on it, because it does. One idea underneath everything: the people who architect a system should be the people who have operated one.

Our story

Founded to close the gap between compliance and capability.

Ironvale Works was founded in 2026 by David Jean-Francois, whose career spans the disciplines the company is built on: cybersecurity, systems engineering, cloud, DevOps, systems administration, and cyber risk assessment.

That range is the entire point. Hardening a system, engineering the platform underneath it, building the pipeline that ships it, keeping it running at 0300, and assessing its risk are normally separate teams on separate contracts, each optimizing for something the others are not. Having worked across all of them, those tradeoffs look different from the inside.

Ironvale Works exists to close that gap at the engineering layer, building platforms where security, speed, and auditability are the same design decision rather than three competing ones.

Mission & values

What we hold the line on.

Our mission: to give federal teams infrastructure they can trust, defend, and actually change, without waiting years for permission.

Mission before margin

We take the work we can do well. When a requirement is outside our lane we say so and point you to someone better, which is exactly why programs call us back.

Engineer, then advise

Our recommendations come from people who have run the system in production at 0300, not from a slide template. If we have not done it, we tell you that too.

Documented, not mystified

Every architecture decision gets written down in language an AO, a CIO, and a contracting officer can all read. Knowledge transfer is a deliverable.

Accountable, start to finish

Our engineers hold the clearances a program requires, and on work that requires none they are the same engineers. Either way they stay on the program. Continuity is the whole product.

Senior people. Real ownership. No bench.

Leadership

Accountable for the work.

Ironvale Works is small and says so. You will work with the person who architects your system, not a delivery manager standing between you and them.

David Jean-Francois

Founder

David founded Ironvale Works in 2026. His background spans cybersecurity, systems engineering, cloud, DevOps, systems administration, and cyber risk assessment, which means he has sat on both sides of an authorization package and knows what each side is actually worried about.

That range is the reason Ironvale Works staffs cross-practice by default rather than handing a program off between four separate teams.

Differentiators

Why programs bring us in.

  • Senior-heavy teams. You get the architect on the call.
  • Cross-practice by default. The team that hardens the platform migrates and instruments it.
  • Transition-ready. Runbooks, IaC, and training so your staff can hold the system.
  • Small-business agility. Decisions in days, not through three layers of review.
  • Honest scoping. We would rather lose a bid than win one we cannot staff.

Ask us for the team we would field, not the team on the org chart.
